Trillium Trail
We visited the legendary Trillium Trail in Fox Chapel. Trilliums were still blooming elsewhere, but they were decidedly done on the Trillium Trail! We found only undead zombie trilliums...
It's a pleasant enough trail, but without an abundance of other flowers, and you're never far from the sounds of traffic. The sheer number of trillium plants was staggering, so it's a must for next spring! Also I'm sure that when the winter doldrums are threatening to drive us batty, the trilliums should be blooming there earlier than just about anywhere else. |
