Raccoon Creek (Week 11)
At our weekly visit to Raccoon Creek State Park Wildflower Reserve on June 7, the periodical cicadas were ridiculously loud! Their song dominated most of the reserve. In 17 years, may they will return in all their glory!

At home, trying to look up what kind of beetle this is, I am finding Asian longhorn beetles and feeling sad. I hope it isn't out to eat all the maples at Raccoon Creek. |
